Durability
Our collection is produced "made to order", which means that the garment is manufactured only after the customer has placed the order, and is also based on the customer's measurements.
We use sustainably produced fabrics such as linen, hemp, lyocell, organically grown cotton, wool or bamboo. In some cases we use Deadstock fabrics: ie. material that the fashion industry has already discarded.
MADE IN SWEDEN
We manufacture most of the garments in our studio on a small farm in Uppland. We also collaborate with newly arrived tailors. In this way, we also support the local economy, improve integration and potentially reduce our carbon footprint by keeping production closer to home.
RECYCLING
Textile waste is a serious problem. We work according to the Zero Waste principle and try to create as little waste as possible during the actual production by creating tailored pattern pieces that use as much of the fabric as possible, by using fabric waste to create new products or by cutting out one garment at a time . That way, we can play with the pattern parts while cutting to create very little textile waste.
By also using used textiles, we have a very low carbon footprint. And the fabrics we buy new, like linen and hemp, are known to use very little water. To compare: a cotton shirt takes 2,700 liters of water to produce, while the same linen shirt only uses 8 litres.
THOUGHTS FROM OUR DESIGNER
"How I dealt with my climate anxiety".
I had felt for years that something was wrong with the fashion industry, but I still wanted to create clothes. I decided to leave the industry and start going my own way and pretty soon I found that my climate anxiety started to heal.
I don't want clothes to be another consumable that ends up in the landfill sooner or later. Instead, I want to make clothes that actually fit, where customers can choose the length, fit and measurements themselves and that they can easily take care of year after year, made from sustainably produced materials.
The goal is to create a garment that the customer will love! Timeless, local, Fairtrade and easy to fix if something breaks.
Since 2024, I am also involved and contribute my textile knowledge at Fashion Revolution Sweden, where we try to influence a change in the fashion world. Together, we can create a change in our consumption behaviour.
